Floor Layout

I have begun to layout the floor. I am using 4 1/4" X 3/4" "Ash" boards with 1/4" spacing. They are just put in position. They are not fastened because I will need to remove them so I can epoxy coat the floor supports before the final assembly.

Don't You Have Something to Do?

My wife, Lynn, got tired of me always bugging her, so her famous line is, "Don't you have something to do?" Winter in Michigan can be long and boring if you stay inside. My first big project was the hot air balloon which took just over a year to build. Then, after 4 hard years working in my basement, I finished the airplane. After that, I built the kayak, which gave me the courage and desire that I needed to build a boat that was bigger and faster. Well, after giving it some thought and a lot of research, I finally decided on building a 14' Zip runabout. I really like old wood plank look and it is small enough for me to build it in my basement again. (The wife is not happy about the mess again, but she is very happy that I will once again have something to do).
